Leading Canada grocer, H.Y. Louie came to KRS saying, "The middle of the road is the road to nowhere." That comment not only inspired KRS' design of Fresh St. Market but has become a cultural mantra for our entire firm.
In working on the Fresh St. Market concept from initial branding through design and onto store rollout, we looked at the project as an opportunity to really redefine the cutting edge of grocery, because that's exactly what the client wanted to do. Well, we did it.
Fresh St. Market represents a dramatic departure from the norm. The retail design parallels the brand's core standards: freshness, locality, aesthetic, and ultimately taste. Fresh St. Market is very much a public market in the fresh department, with boutique-within-store destinations. Large and airy, this store's speciality spaces are a food lover's dream come true.
